IMPSC was established in 1993
in response to rapidly growing demands for strategic policy research
and top-executive training during the post-war era of reconstruction.
Fully accredited and recognized
by the Ministry of Culture and Higher Education (MCHE), despite being
relatively young, IMPSC has become a leading institution for management
research and education in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Through its affiliation to Tarbiat
Modarres University-the mother institution-IMPSC enjoys the support
and services of a large number of university professors and staff in
various academic and research activities.
OUR MISSION AND POLICIES
In its 1993 mandate, IMPSC's
principal mission has been stated as: "study, plan, execute and
direct activities, such as: consultancy services, research, and cooperation
related to the training of specialists and researchers in the field
of management and productivity".
To reach our goal, we have committed
ourselves to the following policies:
Enhancement of scientific thinking and innovation by
encouraging the cooperation of top-level academic faculty and specialists.
Focusing on training only key
officials and administrators at the highest level of decision and policy
making in the country.
Emphasis on modern and innovative
approaches to management systems design such as: MIS, Expert Systems,
TQC, … in productive organizations, economic establishments, public
and private utilities.
Developing links and establish
partnership with R & D organizations and institutes of higher education
around the world.
Make use of the leading edge
of modern technology for disseminating management science and productivity
ideas in the public and private sector.
STRATEGIES AND FUNCTIONS
To maintain high standards, and
in line with the policy of commitment to excellence in management research
and education, our duties have been described as:
Identification of present-day
management problems and challenges and finding appropriate means of
dealing with them.
Develop, disseminate, and apply
management theories and practices on the basis of Islamic values towards
enhancing management science in political, economic, and cultural institutions.
Teaching of applied management
techniques at all levels in order to train efficient and specialized
managers and administrators.
Offering consultancy and advisory
services to private and government organizations for the design of functional
systems with optimized productivity.
Develop joint-supervision and
external doctoral degree programs in partnership with universities in
advanced industrial countries.
Dissemination modern concepts
and issues related to management and productivity through short courses,
workshops, seminars, and annual conferences.
Writing, translating, and publishing
of scientific articles, books, and research findings.
Collecting documents, research
abstracts, and all kinks of appropriate information in data bases for
the use of students, researchers, educators, and managers.
Develop and run formal post-graduate
courses in various disciplines of management, within the framework of
current higher education rules and regulations.
Conduct applied research projects
at the request of client organizations, and by our faculty and staff.
ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE
The organizational chart of IMPSC has been designed
for maximum flexibility along the guidelines Of the Ministry of Science, Research & Technology and Tarbiat Modarres University (TMU).
CURRENT ACTIVITIES
IMPSC is an exclusively post-graduate and post-experience
research center for top-executive managers who hold key positions in
private and public organization. Therefore, all our academic activities
and research-oriented, too.
In addition to research projects
currently being carried out, IMPSC is also engaged in running formal
academic courses leading to Masters' and Doctoral degrees, English Language
for top-executives at TOEFL level, short -term training courses for
professional managers, organizing annual seminars and workshops on Productivity
and Technology Management, and a variety of consultancy services.
The Main activity of the IMPSC is to design and implement research projects in various areas of Management and Productivity using the high quality standards technologies and methodologies by the high specialty research teams.
